Math: Jumping Jacks and Changes Over Time
So we just began a unit on algebra in math yesterday. The first lesson has students think about changes over time. The lesson has students do jumping jacks for two minutes and record the amount of jumps they get every 10 seconds. Many students begin like they are training for the Olympics but the finish is not quite as pretty. Here are some pics of their form!

Frisbee Golf: Putting Our Integer Work Into Action
Students in my math classes played some Frisbee golf on Wednesday to practice our use of positive and negative numbers. Students were placed in teams of 3-4 and took turns trying to "make par" on the Hinesburg Community School Country Club 9-hole course.

World Culture Fair: COMPLETE!!!
Wow, the students really did a great job on the world culture fair. The tri-folds all came together and some really great choice pieces were baked, drawn or constructed. Below are some pictures from the fair. Thank you to parents, older siblings, grandparents and whoever else helped keep the students on track!
